About the Artist
I am a child of nature but beyond that I refused to be labeled. I am parts of them all but not a whole of one. I am and can only be myself. Labels are not something easily shed or avoided though and I still am called by some, a few of which I do not mind.
I am a wife. I am married to Michael, who loves me for all that I am and makes most of my online ideas a reality. We were handfasted on June 23rd, 2007.
I am a daughter, though my parents are now separated I give thanks to them for helping me become the person that I am today.
I am an artist and crafter, my dream job. I draw most of my inspiration from life, from experiencing everything - the good and the bad. There is something that lives deep inside me which calls out to be allowed to create. It wants to learn, to grow, to live life to it's fullest. If I don't let it out I become a very cranky scary person indeed.
As for the name Jaspenelle - as many have asked me - it is my "nom d'art" as one might say. While I legally retain the birthname of Kira; Jaspenelle better reflects the person who I have become.
I am a child of the Earth. I was on this path which for a long time before I realized that there were many others like me and to discover this filled me with joy. It is now my quest to bring this sense of community to others.
I love my life and I love to laugh. I love to cook too - even though I?m still waiting for those robots to be invented that will clean up the dishes! I love the sunrise and set, the passings of the moon, the smells of nature and the simple joys life has to offer. I love the ocean, she is my element. I love the feeling of being a small part in a whole. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, drumming and dancing. I love shrimp and avocados too, so if you ever need to bribe me... We are so blessed to have this tiny planet to call home and it is our duty to take care of her.
The sky smiles at me and I smile back.
It has been quite the journey so far and I know there is much more self-discovery to come. I am blessed to have my husband, my friends, the spirits and my guides along this wanderlusting way.
